Last.fm conveniently informs me that ‘Swingin Party’ is the Replacements 31st most listened-to song. Not really a particularly momentous accolade, that, but then The Replacements aren’t just any band; without them there’d certainly be no Green Day or The Hold Steady, and pretty much any boisterous punk-rock-flavoured band owes them a debt (probably of Whiskey).
