A few years ago, I was a fan of a band called Colour of Fire - a rather loud, generic bunch who’s Myspace proclaimed them ‘Death Metal’, and was a bichromal red and black affair. To be honest, even back then I thought they were another generic band; however, I nowadays am confused that I ever considered it some of my favourite music. But even in this sea of black and distorted guitars, there were a handful of tracks that pointed singer Owen Brinley was actually far more talented than first suspected.
