Morrissey has announced details of his tenth solo studio album, entitled Years Of Refusal, as well as details of some live performances scheduled to take place around his 50th birthday.

The cover art for Years Of Refusal, which is due to be in shops February 16th, features the Mozfather clutching a baby, and contains contributions from The Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde on album track ’Shame Is The Name’, and is produced by Jerry Finn. Lead single of the album will be “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris.’

Morrisseys live commitments in 2009 see a return to the Royal Albert Hall on the 11th of May and 2 nights at the Manchester Apollo, on May 22nd (The Birthday Show) and the 23rd. Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday, December 5th, from the usual outlets.
