Rosemary - 40,40
April 30, 2007 by Martin Kendrick
These Kent boys with a girl’s name are a band worth watching. 40-40 is a great little tight jean swinging, Bez dancing little number with a cheeky grin on its face.Lead singer Tim Hill has that Northern nasal voice somewhere between John Lennon and Alex Turner - most noticeable in the Mersey vibe of b-side ‘Down Like A Domino’, a song with a burst of aggression completely opposite to the other two accompanying tracks. ‘Blissfully Mine’ is a folk finger-picker that’s fallen through a time portal from the 60’s.
An excellent showcase of Rosemary’s versatility, variety and obvious talent - lovely job lads!
