On the 12th June 2009 The Vine in Sowerby Bridge was the place to be for any keen music fans. It was the launch of the ‘The Steals’ new album. ‘The Steals’ recently recorded their album in a San Francisco studio and it is now available for you to purchase on line via their myspace account.

Jayn Hanna of The Steals
The Steals’ sound is a very dark and emotional blend. The music is a rather diverse genre known as Psychedelic Folk.
The vocals of Jayn Hanna resonated throughout the room leaving the crowd entranced. The band created a unique atmosphere. All eyes were captivated by the dark film images projected from behind the female vocalist. Her long hair complimented the back ground projections, which created a fairytale vibe, almost making Jayn look like Rapunzel on stage. The band created a dark enchanting presence.
Their music was received very well in the little village of Sowerby Bridge. ‘The Steals’ were joined and complimented by the diverse post rock/electronica sounds of ‘The Window Right’ who played before them. ‘The Window Right’ are regulars at The Vine and are always well received. An interesting solo artist known as ‘Dean Mcphee’ also captivated the audience. All three bands created a wonderfully experimental vibe.
Audioscribbler TV (AS:TV) are arranging to have ‘The Window Right’ and ‘The Steals’ on the show some time soon!
