We give everyone the chance to write for us! You don’t need untouchable ‘indie’ credentials or years of writing experience. It’s not about your image, or how many rare 1980’s Japanese new wave import vinyls you own. Music lovers are music lovers, and we like to meet those of all kinds – normal people who are prepared to give up their spare time to write about the music that entertains, excites, and moves them.

We’re currently on the hunt for new writers; particularly those who enjoy getting involved socially - through email, over msn, facebook and our forum. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have years of experience in music journalism your belt, (although if you do, welcome aboard!) - we’re looking for people who love listening to, and writing about music.

We’re always communicating – swapping demos, passing about promo CDs & holding boozy meet-ups; where we swig a few pints and hand out CDs. Enthusiasm is the key trait that we’re looking for.

AS staffers can choose to write about whatever musical topic they please. We’ve had feature articles on various topics; from the new emergence of French Electronica to how David Bowie defined the rock video. We’ve published many interviews - from Okkervil River, to This Et Al, to Will Young.

Whereas this freedom enables our writers to review anything they wish, the site is also home to an online CD directory, containing hundreds of releases sent to us from record companies for review. Whenever possible, we also do our best to get our writers press access to gigs, to review them for free. Recently, we’ve also began publishing movie reviews and videogame reviews. Are you handy with a camera? We’re also always on the lookout for photographers to join our team. Any snaps that our photographers take, we put up onto the site as a main feature.

So, how can you join in?

If you would like to apply to write for AudioScribbler, please complete the following form and attach a 250 word sample article of your choice – whether it be a music review, a film or videogame review, a feature or photograh set.
